General Medical Services

Coburg Family Medical Centre offers convenient men’s and women’s health services. We have on-site nurses and after-hours general practitioners available. At our medical centre, we accept NIB, AHM, and Bupa for overseas students and we also accept WorkCover and TAC claims.

Our medical services are available to all our patients Monday to Sunday during our opening hours. Our cheerful nurses are always there to help our doctors in triaging, immunisation, minor surgeries and chronic disease management.

At Coburg Family Medical Centre, we believe in preventative health. That is why we offer flu and other vaccinations, child immunisations and full health examinations. We also offer sexual health advice and screenings, and external test companies come to our clinic for heart and hearing checks.

Corporate Health Services

Dorevitch Pathology provides blood tests and ECGs, urea breath tests and fungal testing onsite.

The operating hours for Dorevitch are 8:30AM – 8:00PM on weekdays and 9:00AM – 2:00PM on weekends.

Specialist Medical Services

Coburg Family Medical Centre provides circumcisions, vasectomies and skin cancer screenings. We have a pathology department and a paediatrician with our clinic to keep you and your family in excellent health. We provide small, in-clinic procedures like minor surgical treatments, such as suturing, emergency care and after-care work.

Test Results

Test results are reviewed on a daily basis by the practice nurse and depending on the urgency of the result, they are phoned to return to the clinic to see a GP.

We also have a recall and reminder system to notify patients that their results are in and require discussion

Equal Access

Several of our receptionists are bi-lingual.

A telephone interpreting service TIS is also available free of charge for medical consultations, as well as National relay service for hearing impaired patients.

These will require advance bookings, so please advise our reception staff when booking appointments if you need either of these services.
